Please be careful when you make this martini because it
contains super hot caramel so you could get burned,
but then again, maybe you’ll meet a cute doctor in the ER.
1/2 cup of sugar
1 cup of water
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
8 ounces ice cold Absolut Vanilia vodka
Cracked ice
A knack for the spectacular
This recipe makes two martinis, one for you and one for someone you want to impress.
Put the sugar and water into a saucepan on low heat and slowly bring to a boil until the mixture thickens and turns golden brown, stir in the vanilla. Be careful, this stuff will be hotter than molten magma from the center of the earth. Take it off the heat, and “Ta Dah!” you have the caramel. Fill your shaker an inch from the top with ice, pour in the vodka and shake for 15 seconds. Dip a fork into the warm caramel and swirl the strands into each martini glass. Pour in the strained cocktail, and if you’re feelin’ fancy, add a few more strands of caramel on top. They should harden and add a fun crunch.
