Today I'm grateful
for Betty.

If your home is on the market, to sell quickly and to a highly qualified buyer, it’s important to stage your property. I think when you’re in the market to find a guy, you should use some of the same tricks professional stagers use – on your body. Like, make sure to clean every nook and cranny, update your fixtures (new lingerie) and for maximum curb appeal, trim the hedges. Speaking of hedges, there’s a product on the market to stage your girlie area and get you loads of buyer interest, it’s called Betty, color for the hair down there.

For some reason homeowners are reluctant to paint, but once they do, they can’t imagine going back to blah, which is exactly how I felt. Yup. I Betty-ied my bump. While stagers recommend sticking with neutral colors -- I went blue. I’ve always been a fan of the Cookie Monster and when I was done, it looked like he had his paw on my cookie jar. Just let me say, this minor remodel worked like a charm. For $20.00, buyer interest really picked up and I was overwhelmed with requests for showings.

Betty comes in loads of fun colors like pink, shocking red, and several shades of the usual suspects, brown, blonde and black. I’m grateful for Betty because anything I can do to differentiate my property in such a competitive market is a good thing. Of course once you get an offer, go through escrow, sign the papers, and close the deal before a room full of family and friends, then you can go back to living like a normal girl, with no need for a Muppet in your panties.

That’s why I’m grateful for Betty.

Forget about rainbows and unicorns, I’m grateful for double martinis, single men and pretty much anything covered in chocolate or cheese. This gratitude journal is anonymous because the stuff that tends to fall out of my head and land on the page makes HR departments cringe -- and guys lose my number.
