Today I'm grateful
for ballpark hotdogs.

Forget about bars, clever girls know where hot guys migrate every season like spawning salmon. I’m talking about major league baseball stadiums.  When I’m not chasing after a Derek Jeeter doppelganger, I can be found bellying up to the bar for a beer and a hot dog. According to Delish, (and me) here are some of the best ballpark hotdogs in country.

Arizona Diamondbacks Arizona Dog - A foot-long hot dog is kicked up a notch with chorizo sausage, nacho cheese, and colorful, confetti-like tortilla strips, giving this dog a nice crunch.

Houston Astros “Most Wanted” Dog - This dog is swimming in chopped beef brisket, BBQ sauce and topped with chopped onions and sliced salty kosher pickles.

Kansas City Royals Royal Blue Dog - An all-beef frank topped with creamy, tangy blue cheese sauce, crispy bacon bits (made with real bacon), and chopped red onion.

Los Angeles Angels Halo Dog - The all-beef hot dog is wrapped with bacon and topped with charro beans, shredded monterey jack cheese, and pico de gallo salsa.

Atlanta Braves Georgia Dog - This dog is blanketed in coleslaw and sautéed Vidalia onions.

Philadelphia Phillies Fan Favorite - An all-beef dog, with broccoli rabe, spicy roasted peppers, and sharp provolone on a crusty Italian roll.

San Francisco Giants Tres Agave Dog - This bacon wrapped dog is cloaked in a spicy chipotle mayonnaise, then dressed with sweet grilled onions, jalapeños, and cucumber pico de gallo.

I’m not a huge baseball nut, but I am a fan of the triple play – guys, beer and food.  I’m grateful for ballpark hotdogs because no matter what team you like, they are sure to have a hotdog you’ll love. I know there is a corny wiener joke in this blog somewhere, but I’m not going there because I’m classy (insert ear shattering beer and hot dog belch.) Excuse me.

That’s why I’m grateful for ballpark hotdogs.

Forget about rainbows and unicorns, I’m grateful for double martinis, single men and pretty much anything covered in chocolate or cheese. This gratitude journal is anonymous because the stuff that tends to fall out of my head and land on the page makes HR departments cringe -- and guys lose my number.
