Today I'm grateful
for From Bags to Riches.

When I can’t sleep, I don’t count sheep, I count designer handbags. I start alphabetically with Armani, Balenciaga, Chloe, Chanel, Dolce and I’m usually snoring before I get to Prada, let alone Vuitton. These bags of my dreams are now a reality because of a site called From Bags to Riches. I simply select the purse I’ve been coveting, and rent it for a month. There’s no snotty membership fee or shipping charges like other sites (I’m not going to name names, but those other companies know who they are, and shame on them).

Since I have a short attention span, and handbags are no exception, this service is perfect because I can always take a new designer to work with me like Gucci, Fendi, Coach, Dior, Burberry and Louis Vuitton. (Let the coveting around the water cooler begin.) Their purses and totes rent for anywhere around $35 a month for a Tory Burch Canvas Tote to $300 for a Chloe Paddington.

I’m grateful for From Bags to Riches because I don’t have to commit to buying an expensive new bag -- I can just try it out for a month or two. Clever girls know the perfect handbag is a lot like the perfect guy, you think they’re dreamy, but after a few weeks, you notice they can’t keep their zipper shut. On to the next one.

That’s why I’m grateful for From Bags to Riches.

Forget about rainbows and unicorns, I’m grateful for double martinis, single men and pretty much anything covered in chocolate or cheese. This gratitude journal is anonymous because the stuff that tends to fall out of my head and land on the page makes HR departments cringe -- and guys lose my number.
